10 Tips To Get To “Life Beyond Money”

In a successful Network Marketing career, first comes massive action and development, then comes massive money, and then comes … Life Beyond Money.

In a successful Network Marketing career, first comes massive action and development, then comes massive money, and then comes … Life Beyond Money. This is a place where you are truly present to those you love; a place where you have the freedom to do what you want, where you want, and with whom you want; a place filled with peace. You can’t wander your way to Life Beyond Money. Getting there is intentional. Here are 10 tips to follow as your guide …

1. Love Your Products.

Do you have a passion for your products? Can people see and feel it when you talk to them? Do you use the products every day? Do you have a compelling personal story to go with them? The more YOU love the products, the more your entire network will love them. This is how you’ll build credibility and integrity as you focus on getting people interested in your opportunity.

2. “Own It.”

Most prospects have a strong opinion about this business model. Don’t try to skirt around what it is you do. Own that YOU ARE A NETWORK MARKETER. If you don’t own it, they will influence you instead of the other way around. Know exactly how and why Network Marketing is an extraordinary wealth-building concept. Study those who have made it work. Know their stories. Be able to teach it to others. This book is a great place to start: “The Four Year Career®.”

3. Learn To Believe That Everyone Is a Prospect.

Here’s the deal: they don’t think they are. They are probably not even looking for anything. But ask yourself this question: If everyone knew what YOU know, would they get involved? The answer is … of course! So what is missing? They just don’t know about it. Well, what if you could let them peek into your mind and heart to see it how you see it? Would they get involved then? Yes, most of them would. And the ones who don’t, they won’t reject YOU … they will champion you and appreciate you offering (and may even say YES down the road).

4. Ask Curiosity Questions.

The more you know about your prospects, the easier it will be for you to design an offer they won’t choose to refuse. Simply find out what is important to them. What do they love? What do they want more of in life? What do they want less of? Start with where they live (if you don’t know). What do they like about it? What don’t they like about it? Where would they live if they could move? What is holding them back? Ask about their work. How long have they been doing it? What do they like and dislike about it? What is holding them back from doing something they love?

5. Ask Them To Imagine.

Chances are, Walt Disney was the last one to inspire them to flex their imagination muscles. Yet it is our ability to imagine something that is not actually present in our lives that allows us to become inspired. Imagining a more peaceful, fun-filled, loving, abundant life changes our body chemistry immediately, whether we want it to or not. Imagining something specific that we like and don’t now have gives us positive energy (motivation) to act. It allows us to embrace something like a new business venture that just five minutes ago we would have sworn we would never do. Ask your prospects to imagine getting a check for $1,000 (or whatever amount you have learned will motivate them) every month like clockwork. See the shift.

6. Give Direction.

Once someone is motivated to move, they will take direction. FROM YOU! Your wisdom, experience and position in the organization will be what they need to get what they imagine. Show them exactly what they need to do. Use examples of people who they know who could do well. Show them their plan. Show them their money. Show them what they must do to get money. If you don’t show them, they will not do what they need to do, and you have wasted their time and yours.

7. Avoid The Vampires.

Some people would rather whine than work. They would rather tell stories than succeed. They would rather keep you waiting on them as they “get around to it.” These are the vampires of Network Marketing. They will suck the life right out of you with their procrastination and excuses and brilliant abilities to find ways for things not to work. Cast them off. If they happen to be friends and family, keep them as such—but keep them out of your business.

8. Manage Your Motivation.

Motivation is the secret to success. When you are on fire about the inevitability of your quest, you will be enthusiastic, courageous, energetic, persistent and creative. These are the fundamentals of getting things done and attracting the things you need. When you are in a funk, you repel what you need and you do the opposite of what you need to be doing. When you are on fire, success is easy, natural and fun. You get lucky and stay lucky.

9. Get Your Car Over The Hill.

There is a lot of inertia in launching a network. Think of it like pushing a car up a hill. It takes far more energy just to get it rolling than at any other time, and it takes a continued Herculean effort to keep it going uphill. What happens if you stop to rest? Right, you get run over and have to start over. And what happens when you stay after it and do whatever it takes to get to the top of the hill? Right, it starts rolling on its own and it would take another Herculean effort just to stop it.

10. Lead Like Your Life Depends On It.

And it DOES depend on it … at least, the life you want does. Is it easy? No. Network Marketing is like herding cats. Your job is to inspire a whole bunch of people to do something they are not normally inclined to do on their own … and to KEEP them doing it—thousands of them. Your leadership and ability to inspire and develop leadership in others will determine how far you go and how self-sustaining it is when you get there.

Where Do You Want To Be In 4 Years?

Network Marketing is a brilliant career choice whether you choose it at the age of 20, 40 or 80. Done smartly, you can be done in four years … and then you get to design your Life Beyond Money. Dreams found. Just like everything else, in a successful Network Marketing career, first comes massive action, then comes massive money, and then comes … Life Beyond Money. Thank you, Richard for not only these incredible “10 Tips” but for your book, your interviews, and for your guidance. I have been a nurse for over 35 yrs and now watch my three young grandchildren full-time to help out/home school due to pandemic effects. This is so incredibly different from my recent role as an Administrator; I believe there is a silver lining in all instances and this will be my future! I am so thankful for the tremendous value in your leadership and wisdom!
